PyroBOND
Introducing PyroBOND; Hybond’s cutting edge range of fire-retardant adhesives. Formulated with the production of steel fire doors in mind, these versatile adhesives are also well suited to a variety of manufacturing processes where a fire-retardant bond is required.
PyroBOND 2121FR 2K
This two-component, ambient curing epoxy adhesive is suited for bonding together a variety of substrates such as metals and some plastics. It is well suited to the gluing of endcaps to filter medium during filter production, demonstrating a good chemical resistance to oils and fuels.
PyroBOND 2121FR 2K & Steel Fire Door Production
Applied to seal the outer edges of steel fire doors, this epoxy adhesive completely eliminates the need for welding; locking together the internal door components, and passing industry standard fire testing with flying colours.
PyroBOND FR PUR
PyroBOND FR PUR is a fire retardant polyurethane reactive adhesive. This one-part formulation combines the initial speed of a hot melt adhesive, with the strength of a structural adhesive.
PyroBOND FR PUR & Steel Fire Door Production
PyroBOND FR PUR is perfectly suited to the bonding of infill materials used in steel fire door production, such as cardboard honeycomb and insulation material. Manufacturers will be assured of consistent fire test pass results where traditional adhesives/methods may have yielded a fail.
STEEL FIRE DOOR PRODUCTION WITH PYROBOND:
- Streamline production with Pyrobond’s weld-free process
- Achieve consistent Fire Test Pass Rates
- Pyrobond allows for a wider selection of FR door types
- Cost Reduction
- Labour Reduction
Here’s a look at a 4-hour fire test in action. The security door under-going testing was made with FULLY-GLUED, ZERO-WELDED construction with cardboard honeycomb core & flame retardant PUR adhesive, and passed with flying colours.
